The story starts with a girl, Jhanak who lives with her mother alone because her father left them and went away but her mother never gave up and brought her up. Her mother provided all her basic needs to her and educated her by doing hard work as a maid in various houses.

She worked in an academy and taught children there. One day, on her birthday, she missed her mother very badly, and then Angali brought her out to the birthday party of their friend. Anirudh was a boy from her college who was in love with her and wanted to express his feelings to her but never did this.

At the party, many people treated her like a poor girl and this made her very sad her cake was also distributed to someone else then Anirudh shared his cake with her and helped her to overcome all the problems. They come close to each other.
