A popular TV series in Hindi with a Punjabi backdrop, Teri Meri Dooriyan debuted on Star Plus on January 4, 2023. On the over-the-top (OTT) platform Disney+ Hotstar, this serial is also available for digital streaming. This series is an adaptation of the well-known Bengali serial Gaatchora into Hindi. Jafar Shaikh, who produced the show under the banners of Shaika Films and Cockrow Entertainment, is the director.

The love and affection between two family members—the Brar and Monga families’ children—is the central theme of this series. Their offspring developed feelings for one another and, without realising Teri Meri Dooriyan, ended up divorcing each other, which is how a triangle of love was formed between them. A sweet and industrious girl named Sahiba was the matchmaker for Angad, the oldest son of the Brar family. Through selling her own paintings, Sahiba also provides for her family. To her family’s delight, she married Angad but later found out that he had feelings for her sister Seerat. 

Upon learning of this, Angad got into a fight with Garry, after which Sahiba brought Seerat to her home. After taking care of all the family members and saving Garry from an automobile, Sahiba got into an accident. After being released from the hospital, everyone in the family came to understand that Sahiba was a good daughter-in-law. After bringing her home, Angad discovers he has fallen in love with Sahiba and tells her of his feelings. Later, Garry returns to exact revenge on Angad and Sahiba for what they did to him.  

Angad wants to marry Seerat, so their marriage is fixed. However, he causes them to have multiple misunderstandings for this reason, which eventually leads to their separation. When Sahiba started her profession and departed the country, she had deserted that residence.  

In the present story Realising what had happened, Angad turns to face Seerat. When Sahiba was going to get the responsibility of this house from Jabjyot, Angad approached Seerat and inquires as to whether or not he conveyed her feelings to her. Seerat assures him that she will tell him the whole story. Speaking to the entire family, Angad promises to explain. The notice saying Angad’s phone is off appears when Inder tries to call him. Angad is the person Sahiba chooses to chat with. Seerat is led inside the hall by Angad.
